Seeing a Notary – Getting ready
Obviously, each case must be different but usually the Notary will:
expect you to make an appointment and present evidence of identity. Generally this will have to be a current valid passport, government issued picture ID or state issued picture ID.
What does it cost?
$10.00 per signature which is set by the State of California. There will be an extra charge for travel depending on the distance traveled.
How long will it take?
If the document is straightforward, already prepared and in the correct form the notary is likely to need to see you for a minimum of 5 -10 minutes.
Our office keep normal office hours. We will, however make arrangements to see you out of hours or out of the office if it is really necessary. This may cost more and take longer.
